Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions we hear most. The legal detail is in the terms of use.
- What is repat.ch?
- A business-to-business marketplace for second-hand event equipment: sound, lighting, video, stage. repat.ch connects sellers and buyers; it is neither seller, nor buyer, nor payment intermediary.
- Who can sell and buy?
- Event and live-entertainment professionals and semi-professionals, whatever their status: company, freelancer, association, public body, or an individual who works in the field regularly.
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing. Posting a listing, contacting a seller or making an offer is free, and repat.ch takes no commission: it never handles any payment.
- How do I post a listing?
- Create an account, then take a photo of the equipment: AI recognises it and drafts the listing (title, brand, model, category, description). You check it, add the price, and publish. It takes less than a minute.
- How do I contact a seller?
- Use the form on the listing: your message and email address are sent to the seller, who replies to you directly. If the seller accepts offers, you can also propose your price; an offer commits no one, it opens the discussion.
- How do payment and delivery work?
- Directly between seller and buyer: final price, payment, collection or shipping, warranty. repat.ch takes no part in the sale. Tip: check the equipment before you pay.
- Which countries are covered?
- All equipment located in Europe. Each listing shows where the equipment is, and a distance filter shows the closest listings.
- Are prices excluding VAT?
- Yes. Prices are shown excluding VAT, in the seller's currency. The VAT-inclusive amount on a listing applies the standard rate of the seller's country, for guidance only.
- Can I have a page for my company?
- Yes. Your seller page, with all your listings and a short address to share (repat.ch/your-name), is created free of charge with your first listing, then approved by repat.ch.
- Which languages is the site in?
- French, English, Dutch and German. Listing descriptions are translated automatically for each visitor; the original text always remains available.
- A listing looks suspicious: what should I do?
- Use the report link below the listing, or write to signalement@repat.ch. repat.ch may remove a listing or suspend an account at any time.
